In my Liverpool running physio clinic, I see clients who don’t want to give up their HOKA running shoes even though they started to get injuries when they started wearing them.
On a good few occasions when they’ve switched their ankle/ knee pain has disappeared quickly.
On the other hand, I recommend some clients to switch to HOKA running shoes if they have plantar fasciitis and within 3-4 weeks their PF goes away.
There’s no right or wrong and it’s just trial and error, even if you have had a gait analysis, Usually this does not transfer into increased performance or injury reduction.
